Born in Germany I migrated to Australia and made documentaries on the geology of its land formations. The films won Gold Medal New York Film Festival and the Gold Quasar Award for Science. Now retired I enjoy long walks with beloved dog Rusty. My work is based on photography and often worked over with Photoshop. My pics don't claim veracity. Judge them by their pictorial content – not by their history. But I use Photoshop not just to correct or enhance. I also use it as an artistic tool in its own right, like the brush is for a painter. Working with layers I let Chance decide what to delete – one mouse click after another. It's an arbitrary process. The picture evolves on its own accord, not following a preconceived idea....

Thanks Dean, again very kind of you. And in this case: Photoshop helped.

Great image of a muted loved Australian flower. I particularly like the way you have managed to show the closeup of the flower and the full bush/tree in the background
